City of Kelowna Heritage Grants Program (CoKHGP)
In 1991 the City of Kelowna created a program whereby grants, using City of Kelowna tax dollars, could be given to those who own buildings on the Kelowna Heritage Register in an effort to help them maintain and conserve their heritage properties.
The Central Okanagan Heritage Society took over the administration of the program in 2008. The City of Kelowna Heritage Grants Program’s committee and manager work with heritage property owners to provide guidance and grants for the maintenance, rehabilitation and/or restoration of their heritage buildings.
In 2022, the heritage grants application process moved to an online platform on SurveyMonkey Apply. This new online platform, through the City of Kelowna website, will bring the Heritage Grants Program in line with the other City of Kelowna Cultural Grants.
